SURFACE PREPARATION

Before applying AlphaCover, it is essential to ensure that the surface is permanently dry, clean, and dust-free. Residual moisture, dirt, and debris may hinder proper adhesion and bond, leading to potential failures. Surfaces should be free of chemicals, oils, and contaminants, as these substances can interfere with the effectiveness of the membrane.

For the best results, it is important to test AlphaCover on a small, inconspicuous area to confirm that the surface is suitable for application. This preliminary step can help ensure optimal performance and longevity of AlphaCover.

Please note that AlphaCover is not suitable for use on porous stone floors, natural stone floors, clay tiles, concrete surfaces or floors with active underfloor heating. Using AlphaCover on these surfaces may result in compromised performance and reduced effectiveness.

AlphaCover is not responsible for any damages or losses resulting from improper use or application of the product. Our liability is limited to the replacement of the product and does not include any consequential, incidental, or punitive damages. Users must follow all application and care instructions, as failure to do so may void any associated support. Users agree to indemnify and hold AlphaCover harmless from any claims arising from their use. These terms are governed by the laws of Michigan. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will still apply. AlphaCover reserves the right to modify these terms at any time.

POST APPLICATION CARE

After applying AlphaCover, it can be reused for up to 3 months with proper care. To maintain its self-adhesive properties, keep the surface dust-free. Regularly check for debris and clean as needed to ensure optimal performance throughout the usage.

USAGE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Before applying AlphaCover, make sure the surface is completely cured according to the surface or finish manufacturer’s guidelines. Do not apply AlphaCover to newly installed, finished, coated, stained, sealed, or treated surface until the recommended curing process is complete.

  • Make sure the surface is clean, completely dry, and free of dust, dirt, and debris before applying. Proper surface preparation helps promote consistent adhesion and supports product reuse.

  • Do not apply AlphaCover to surfaces treated with solvent-based products until they have fully cured according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and are no longer emitting solvent vapors.

  • Heated flooring systems must be turned off before AlphaCover is installed and remain off while the product is in use.

  • When installing multiple sections of AlphaCover, overlap adjoining pieces by approximately 4 inches (10 cm) for continuous protections.

  • Use AlphaCover in temperatures between 50-86 F (10-30C) and at the relative humidity below 60%.

  • Protect AlphaCover from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight while in use.

  • Avoid placing heavy objects directly on AlphaCover for periods longer than 24 hours.

  • Taping down the beginning and end of each roll is recommended to help keep the protection securely in place.

  • To support clean removal and minimize the possibility of adhesive residue, do not leave AlphaCover on unfinished surfaces for more than 60 consecutive days.

  • Periodically lift a section of AlphaCover during use to check the protected surface and monitor adhesion. If adhesive residue occurs, gently clean the affected area using a soft cloth, a small amount of neutral-pH soap, and lukewarm water.

  • AlphaCover is not recommended for use on cement or concrete floors. The adhesive may leave residue or may not adhere effectively due to the high mineral and polymer content of these surfaces.

  • AlphaCover is not recommended for use on carpeted

    surfaces.

  • AlphaCover may be thermally disposed of where appropriate facilities and local regulations allow.
